The accuracy and applicability of multiphase models are largely influenced by the number of flow regimes they can represent. For example, most commonly used models support only 2 to 4 flow regimes, whereas the Tulsa Unified Model—refined over more than five decades—incorporates over 30 distinct flow regimes.
