What is preprocessing and postprocessing in reservoir simulation?

Sometimes old school reservoir simulation engineers talk about pre-/post processing. What does it mean?
Preprocessing is just building the model - preparing DATA file with information (configurations; reservoir, PVT, SCAL data, wells, etc.)
Postprocessing is results analysis - view the 3D simulation results and plot.
